Preparation before installation
1.Foundation production
- Foundation type: Design a concrete foundation or steel frame platform according to the size and shape of the water tank.
- Load-bearing requirements: The foundation must be able to withstand the weight of the water tank when fully loaded (water weight + tank weight).
- Flatness: The horizontal error of the foundation surface is ≤3mm to avoid deformation of the tank due to uneven force.
- Drainage design: Drainage ditches are reserved around the foundation to prevent water accumulation from corroding the bottom of the tank.
2.Check materials and tools
- Check whether the water tank module, bolts, sealant (such as neutral silicone), rubber gasket and other accessories are complete.
- Prepare tools: level, wrench, screwdriver, cleaning cloth, etc.
Water tank assembly steps
1.Bottom plate installation
- Put the bottom plate module flat on the foundation according to the drawing, align the joints, and use bolts to fix it initially.
- Use a level to check the flatness of the bottom plate, adjust it to be completely horizontal, and tighten the bolts.
2.Installation of side panels and partitions
- Sequence: Splice from the bottom layer to the top layer, and each layer of side panels needs to be installed with staggered seams (avoid through seams).
- Sealing treatment:
- Rubber sealing strips are embedded in the joints of the panels, and sealant is applied on the outside (thickness is about 2-3mm).
- Bolts need to be tightened evenly diagonally to prevent local stress concentration.
3.Top panel installation
- The top panel module covers the top of the side panel, and the joint treatment is the same as the side panel.
- Reserve the position of the inspection hole (manhole) to ensure that the opening size is consistent with the design.
Installation of key accessories
1.Pipeline connection
- Inlet and outlet pipes: flange connection, lined with rubber gaskets, check for leakage after tightening the bolts.
- Overflow pipe and sewage pipe: The overflow pipe mouth should be 5-10cm lower than the top of the water tank, and the slope of the sewage pipe should be ≥2% to facilitate drainage.
- Valves and instruments: Install water level gauges, valves, etc. for daily monitoring.
2.Safety accessories
- Install escalators and guardrails (1.2m above the top of the water tank), and lock the manhole cover to prevent foreign objects from entering.
- Lightning rods must be installed on outdoor water tanks, and the grounding resistance must be ≤10Ω.
Sealing test
1.Full water test
- Fill water to the designed water level, let it stand for 24 hours, and observe whether the joints and pipe connections are leaking.
- If leakage is found, drain the water and reapply sealant or adjust the tightness of the bolts.
2.Air pressure test (optional)
- Introduce 0.05MPa compressed air into the closed water tank, maintain pressure for 30 minutes, and the pressure drop is ≤10% to be qualified.
Environment and safety measures
Spacing requirements: reserve ≥0.8m maintenance passages around the water tank, and leave ≥0.5m space on the top.
Insulation and antifreeze: In cold areas, insulation materials (such as polyurethane foam) must be covered, and heating belts are activated when the water temperature is below 0℃.
Anti-pollution measures: Regularly clean and disinfect the inner wall of the water tank, and install insect-proof nets on the vents.
Acceptance and maintenance
1.Acceptance standards
- Sealing, verticality (deviation ≤1‰), water quality testing.
2.Daily maintenance
- Clean once every six months, check the aging of the sealant, and replace it in time.
- Drain idle water tanks in winter to prevent freezing and cracking.
3.Precautions
- Prohibited operations: Welding and knocking on the tank to avoid damaging the fiberglass layer.
- Professional construction: It is recommended that large water tanks (≥50m³) be installed under the guidance of the manufacturer to avoid structural errors.
- Emergency treatment: If cracks appear on the tank, stop using it immediately and contact the manufacturer for repair.
